Dead shopping street..
Shimonoseki was once thriving in whale fishing.
Now, though there are lots of historic sites, it’s shopping streets
are dead…
This is a street in Karato, Shimonoseki. A lonely street with a few pedestrians.
Whenever I visit Karato to see some wonderful friends of mine,
I feel very sad.
下関はかつて鯨で栄えた町です。
数多くの名所旧跡があるにもかかわらず、町は死んでいます。
唐戸の街並みも寂しく歩いている人は少ない。
唐戸の友人に会いに行くたびに、街並みを見て悲しくなります。

Moon in the afternoon
It was fine and warm yesterday. Very comfortable!
Yesterday was a birthday of our Emperor who would be 61.
I went out for a walk up to a park nearby.
Many who were walking and some who were playing soccer.
とてもよいお天気の昨日は天皇誕生日でした。天皇陛下は61歳になられました。
近くの公園に散歩に出かけました。多くの人が散歩をしたり、サッカーをして
遊んでいました。
I walked 4,000 steps!
4千歩、歩きました！

Japanese plum blossoms
On the way home from some lesson, I found Japanese plum
blossoms. It was a small tree and lots of blossoms were in bloom.
あるレッスンからの帰り道、梅の花を見つけました。小さな木に
たくさん花が咲いていました。
The above is Oxalis. I take photo of it every year.
This is the very first flower in my garden.
The center of this flower is like shining、isn’t it!
上の写真はオキザリスの花です。毎年この花の写真を撮るのですが、
今年最初の花です。花の中心が輝いて見えませんか？

A day of Chocolate
Log house Part 2
We experienced 2-hour-stay at a log house in Itoshima
from 6 pm to 8 pm.
It was very fine day and the sunset is very beautiful.
I saw a crescent moon and lots of stars in the sky.
The log house has a fireplace. It’s warm and nice!
I brought coffee, sandwiches and fruits.
We are thinking to built a small house maybe and log house
is one of the options. Not sure as of now.
ログハウス2時間体験というのに行ってきました。
午後6時から8時までログハウスの中で簡単な食事をして過ごしました。
よいお天気で夕焼けも素敵で、三日月や星々も見ることが出来ました。
暖炉は暖かく、とても素敵な雰囲気でした。
ログハウスが建てられたらなと思っていますが、、。

Sankan Shion
三寒四温 a cycle of 3 cold days and 4 warm days.
I saw sprouts of leaves of hydrangea. The bud is still hard.
Any bud in the garden is sprouting preparing for
coming spring.
Before sunset. It shows gentle atmosphere.
三寒四温の今日この頃。庭の紫陽花の木に葉っぱの芽が大きくなってきました。
来るべき春に備えているよう。
今日の夕方は優しい感じの空と雲でした。
